Great homemade ice cream. Huge servings. Nice staff.

This place is the best! If you complain about this place go back to Dairy Queen! My family lives in Shelby township mi and would love to have a place like this down state

I found a long hair in my ice cream and showed them before I left. They offered a new cone so I got a different flavor and while walking down the sidewalk, I found a hair in my new cone.. so beware of hair.

I thought the ice cream was good (even though they were out of A LOT of flavor options) I am giving this place a 1 star because in the midst of a pandemic cleanliness is A BIG DEAL. I agree with every business requiring masks when entering their property, BUTTTT this should be 10000% followed by allllll employees working. I was served ice cream by a man NOT wearing a mask...he had gloves on....ITCHES HIS FACE and continues to serve ice cream to everyone. Most of the other employees with their masks not even on their face (on their chins). As a person who manages a business, I would never allow an employee of mine to be without a mask at work (and constantly sanitizing everything) during a pandemic for the safety of my staff and all customers.

Loved it! So many flavors of waffle cones and bowls. Well over 50 flavors of ice cream and sorbets to choose from and a lot of fun toppings.

Stopped into the sweet spot on a cold rainy afternoon. The icecream was fantastic! So good that we stopped back again after dinner.

We loved this place! My boyfriend and I are from Oklahoma and went last summering he usually doesn’t like ice cream. He tried the Farm House Turtle Pie flavor and IS STILL TALKING ABOUT IT! Does anyone have a phone number or website that we can reach them at? We want to see about ordering some to be shipped to our state!

Best icecream I've ever had!

Were looking for a local ice cream place, and this one came up often. But I have to say we were disappointed. There is a lot of variety, but we got attitude asking for more than one sample. There also seemed to be a language barrier. I asked which flavors they were known for and/or were the most popular and she couldn’t give me an answer. Thought the ice cream was fine, but not something we would eat again. Too many other places to try. Probably the most disappointing part, though, is that even though the place is large, they have no seating. The entire back part is dedicated to toys and other money grabs. It was raining, so we ended up eating our ice cream huddled in a neighboring doorway with others who also couldn’t believe they had not one table. I’m sure their neighbors love finding ice cream remnants in their doorways each morning.

By far my most favorite place to shop in Mackinaw! I absolutely love their cake batter ice ream and look forward to getting it every time I visit Mackinaw!

This place is a Must! They have tons of flavors of homemade ice cream.. Six or seven different flavors of homemade waffle cones (I can not say enough good things about the coconut cone! I wanted to buy a dozen to take home!) tons of popcorn, fudge, taffy and various other candy. It's family owned and operated since 2011 and they are the nicest people. I spent a good 80$ there and I'm sure I'd spend 80 more without feeling bad. It's that good! Go! Buy! Eat! Enjoy!

My family cannot skip this place, every year we stop here for all our sweets. Nice Variety and cute novelty items. And of course their superman ice cream in the superman cone is the BEST!!

Went into this store to purchase 2 stuffed animals. Nephew dropped a $5 lolli pop. 2 Employees swarmed him, seen it chipped and made us buy it right away. Se we put the other stuff back because of the rudeness from the employees. They didnt welcome us. We would of spent more money if they would of been more welcoming. No boday wants to be put in a bad mood while visiting here.

Super neat store. One of the coolest sweet shops in downtown Mackinaw City. I would recommend this be one of the buisness you go inside while touring down town. Good variety in the store for many sweets

I have lived in Michigan my whole life (38 yrs) up until 3 yrs ago I had never been to Mackinaw that I could remember. That changed when My best friend and cousin said hey let's take a family vaca together. So all 9 of us and the 4 of them set out to Hillman, MI and took a whole day trip of our week long vacation and went to Mackinaw. We found this little sweet shack known as the Sweet Shop, and fell in love. My husband and I had our first getaway with out our children in 20 years this past May. We knew we were stopping at this lil gem on the way back home (7 hrs away) it did not disappoint us! I have now spoke with my husband and we have decided 1 weekend every 3 months we will be taking a mini-honeymoon heading up to AuTrain Michigan and on our way home we will be here getting our sweets.

More flavors of ice cream than my stomach could handle! Terrible for people who are bad at decision making. I don't think you could go wrong with any of the flavors, as the Salted Caramel and Birthday Batter flavors I had were amazing! Definitely stopping by again next time I am around!

I'm from the U.P., visit family in Michigan 1-2 times a year (I've been gone a couple of years now). This was my 2nd year to buy from this store and my LAST time. My co-workers & friends have me by fudge, taffy, syrup..etc. i spent well over $200 & my dad spent $ also. We were given some pieces of fudge that was outdated or expires within the week! The lady manager or owner was VERY rude, disrespectful and condescending. The ice cream didnt look fresh. I'll be going back to buying my fudge, taffy from the other stores. My family/friends visit machignaw city VERY often and they will not be shopping here anymore!
